~ Important Message ~ From the Community Food Bank/ Food Pantry
Key Facts of the upcoming Plateau Valley Assembly of God (PVAG) Church Food Pantry Distribution, including TEFAP (this Friday the 20th of March will be open for distribution from: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)! Our goal is to work together to lessen the potential impact of COVID-19 in the Western Slope of Colorado.
1. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) has waived the signature requirement for TEFAP client applications, effective immediately.
2. Our Implemented method of distribution will be a “drive through” style in which clients line up outside of the church (*in their vehicles) in the parking lot; not getting out of their vehicles other than to receive their food. Intake is a verbal conversation held at a distance-six feet for social distancing and then food product is placed in the back or trunk of their car.
3. We will have access to hand washing stations or hand sanitizer, in addition to face-masks and disposable gloves for our ten volunteer workers during intake and distribution.
4. Everyone is to avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. Hugs and handshakes should be replaced with non-contact forms of greetings while keeping the appropriate social distancing.
5. Please bring your own totes or a solid large cardboard box for the surplus of food to be received.
We stand firm to pour out the abundant blessings and love of Jesus Christ in and through our ministry @ Plateau Valley Assembly of God Church!
